I am not a chef: I’d like to be one but I’ll settle for being a better cook. I can cook already but not well enough. I want people to look forward to coming to my house to eat because the food is something special. I want to feel that what’s good that comes out of my kitchen is good not because I was lucky or because I slavishly followed a celebrity chef, but because I knew what I was doing: because I knew why the skin was forming on the milk (and what to do about it), because I knew which cheese to use, because I knew at what point to add the herbs…

And I am Steven Lewis, a communications and social media consultant in Sydney, Australia.
